Remy's Coral Kingdom Nap

A story for: Remy, Age 4

Created September 10, 2026

The sun was just starting to dip below the waves, painting the ocean surface in soft, sleepy colors of pink and orange. Deep, deep down, in a cozy little coral cave, lived a tiny fish named Remy. Remy was a very special fish, with scales that shimmered like tiny rainbows and fins that fluttered like butterfly wings.

Tonight, Remy felt a little sleepy tingle in her tail. It had been a wonderful day! She had played hide-and-seek with the friendly seahorses, chased after bubbles from a gentle whale, and even helped a lost starfish find its way home to its rocky bed.

Now, it was time for Remy to find her own bed. She swam slowly through the swaying seaweed, which brushed softly against her fins like a silk blanket. The water around her felt warm and comforting, just like a hug.

As Remy swam, she saw her friends getting ready for bed too. The little clownfish were snuggled deep inside their anemone, gently swaying with its soft arms. The sleepy crabs were tucked into their sandy burrows, their tiny eyes starting to close. Even the big, slow sea turtle was finding a quiet spot on a soft bed of moss.

Remy reached her coral cave. It was a beautiful place, carved out of the brightest pink and purple coral. Inside, it was always quiet and peaceful. She wiggled her way in, feeling the smooth coral walls around her. It was just the right size for one little fish.

She looked out of her cave entrance. The moon, a big, round pearl, was starting to shine through the water, casting gentle, silvery beams that danced on the sandy floor. Remy watched the moonbeams for a little while, feeling her eyelids grow heavy.

She yawned a tiny fish yawn, stretching her little fins. The water whispered a soft lullaby around her, a gentle whoosh-whoosh sound. Remy closed her eyes. She imagined herself drifting on a soft cloud, just like the gentle currents that carried the sleepy jellyfish.

With every soft sway of the water, Remy felt more and more peaceful. Her rainbow scales seemed to dim slightly, ready for a good night's rest. She was safe, she was warm, and she was loved. Soon, Remy was fast asleep, dreaming sweet dreams of playful bubbles and friendly seahorses, tucked snugly in her coral kingdom bed.
