A story for: Remy, Age 5
Created August 11, 2026
Remy loved his bedroom. It wasn't just a room; it was a special, cozy cloud, just for him. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in soft oranges and purples, Remy snuggled into his favorite blanket. It felt like a warm, gentle hug all around him.
First, he said goodnight to his fluffy teddy bear, Barnaby. "Goodnight, Barnaby," Remy whispered, giving Barnaby a little pat on his head. "See you in the morning, after my dreams." Barnaby seemed to smile back, soft and brown.
Next, Remy looked at his little nightlight, shaped like a friendly star. It cast a warm, golden glow across his room, chasing away any shadows. It made his ceiling look like a soft, twinkling sky. Remy imagined floating among the slow-moving stars.
He listened to the gentle hum of the house, like a big, sleeping friend. The sounds were soft and faraway, like a secret lullaby just for him. He thought about his day, all the fun things he had done. He had built a tall tower of blocks and drawn a picture of a sparkly rainbow. Each happy memory was like a little, soft feather floating past him.
Remy closed his eyes, and his breath became slow and steady. He felt the soft pillow beneath his head, cool and smooth. He imagined he was a little boat, gently rocking on a calm, warm ocean. The waves were whispers of sleep, carrying him closer and closer to dreamland.
He thought of his favorite color, a gentle blue, and pictured his whole room filling with that soft, peaceful color. It swirled around him, warm and safe. He felt his eyelids grow heavy, so very heavy. His little fingers relaxed, and his toes wiggled one last time before resting.
In his mind, Remy saw a field of soft, white clouds, drifting slowly across a gentle blue sky. He was laying on one of them, feeling completely safe and warm. The clouds were like giant, fluffy pillows, carrying him gently, gently. He drifted further and further, his breathing soft and even. He was almost there. The clouds hummed a sleepy tune. Remy was fast asleep, dreaming sweet dreams in his cozy cloud room.
