A story for: David, Age 3
Created May 11, 2026
Little David was snug. He was in his cozy treehouse bed. The treehouse swayed just a tiny bit. It felt like a gentle hug. Outside, the night was soft. David looked out his window. The moon was a sleepy silver button. Stars twinkled, blink, blink, blink.
David snuggled his soft blanket. It felt warm. He loved his treehouse. It was his special place. Tonight, David felt extra brave. He was a superhero! A quiet, sleepy superhero. He had a secret mission. His mission was to help.
Suddenly, David heard a little rumble. *Rrrrumble, rrrrumble.* What was that sound? It came from far away. David peeked through the leaves. He saw big shapes. Very big shapes! They were dinosaurs. Friendly, sleepy dinosaurs.
One dinosaur looked a little lost. Its skin was a pretty green. Another dinosaur had a long neck. It munched on a leaf. Then David saw a special one. This dinosaur was big and red! A big, friendly red dinosaur. It looked a little sad.
"Oh dear," whispered Super David. He put on his brave face. "A dinosaur needs help." He imagined his cozy blanket was a superhero cape. A warm, soft cape. He felt strong. He felt ready.
The red dinosaur made a soft sound. *Moooooan.* It was looking for its friend. Its little baby dinosaur friend. David knew what to do. He was a superhero! He would help find the lost baby.
David looked with his superhero eyes. He looked through the branches. The wind whispered secrets. "Whoosh, whoosh." He saw little footprints. Small, tiny dinosaur footprints! They went past a big, red flower.
He followed the prints. David was so brave. He was not scared. He was a helper. The footprints led him to a big, soft bush. And there! A tiny baby dinosaur. It was curled up, fast asleep.
The big red dinosaur saw its baby. *Rrrrumble!* It was a happy rumble. The mommy dinosaur nudged its baby. So gentle. The baby dinosaur woke up. It yawned a tiny yawn.
Super David smiled. His mission was done. He helped a dinosaur family. He felt very happy. He felt very brave. The moon smiled down. The stars twinkled. Everything was quiet again.
David snuggled back into his bed. His cozy treehouse bed. The red dinosaur was happy. The baby dinosaur was happy. And David was happy too. He felt so sleepy now. So warm and safe.
He closed his eyes. He thought of the big red dinosaur. And his brave superhero heart. He was a good helper. He was brave. David drifted off to sleep. Soft dreams came to him. Sweet dreams of dinosaurs and heroes. Good night, David. Sleep tight.
The End.
