Remy's Starry Slumbers

A story for: Remy, Age 4

Created August 29, 2026

Once upon a time, far, far away in the inky-blue night sky, lived a brave little astronaut named Remy. Remy had a sparkly silver helmet and the comfiest, coziest space suit you ever did see. Tonight, Remy was feeling a little bit sleepy, and it was the perfect night for a peaceful space adventure.

Remy climbed into their special rocket ship, which hummed a soft, gentle lullaby as it lifted off from Earth. "Zoom, zoom, zoom!" went the rocket, but not too fast, just a slow, drifting climb into the twinkly stars.

First, Remy visited the Cloud Cushion Planet. This planet was made entirely of fluffy, soft, white clouds. They looked just like big, comfy pillows! Remy’s rocket floated gently down, and Remy peeked out the window. Little cloud bunnies hopped quietly, their paws making no sound at all. Remy imagined sinking into the softest cloud and drifting off to sleep. It felt so wonderfully soft, Remy yawned a little yawn.

Next, Remy flew to the Whispering Willow Planet. This planet was covered in tall, graceful trees with long, drooping branches, just like sleepy willow trees on Earth. But these trees glowed with a soft, green light. The wind here didn't bluster; it just made a gentle *whoosh, whoosh* sound, like a secret whisper telling Remy it was time to rest. Little fireflies blinked slowly, their lights dancing like tiny, sleepy stars. Remy watched them, feeling more and more peaceful.

Then, Remy journeyed to the Silent Sea Planet. This planet was a giant ocean, but the water was perfectly still and shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow, reflecting the faraway stars. There were no waves here, no splashes, just a calm, quiet surface. Remy saw gentle, glowing fish swimming slowly, their fins moving like soft, sleepy dreams. Remy felt a lovely calm wash over them, like being tucked into a warm blanket.

Finally, Remy’s rocket gently floated towards the Moon Cradle. This wasn't a planet, but a crescent moon, shaped like a perfect, cozy cradle. It was surrounded by the softest stardust, like glittery, fluffy snow. Remy landed the rocket very, very gently and looked out. The Moon Cradle felt warm and safe, and the stars around it twinkled like tiny, sleepy eyes.

Remy snuggled down in their rocket seat, feeling very, very sleepy after such a peaceful journey. The soft hum of the rocket was like a lullaby, the gentle glow of the Moon Cradle was like a nightlight, and the quiet stars whispered goodnight. Remy closed their eyes, imagining the soft clouds, the whispering willows, and the silent sea. With a happy, sleepy sigh, Remy drifted off to sleep, dreaming of calm planets and twinkling stars.
