A story for: Ivy, Age 3
Created June 28, 2026
Once upon a time, nestled in a valley where the stars twinkled extra brightly, lived a little girl named Ivy. Ivy had the kindest eyes, and her favorite thing in the whole wide world was her magnificent, make-believe castle.
Every night, just as the sun dipped behind the tall, sleepy hills, Ivy would snuggle into her bed. But tonight was special. Tonight, Ivy decided, her castle would be extra magical. She closed her eyes gently, and poof! Her cozy bed turned into a soft, fluffy cloud, floating her straight to her beautiful castle.
Her castle wasn't made of cold, hard stone. Oh no! Ivy's castle was built from soft, shimmering moonlight. Its towers glowed with a gentle, sleepy light, and the windows sparkled like tiny diamonds. The drawbridge was made of a rainbow, arching softly over a moat filled not with water, but with fluffy, white marshmallows that bounced just a little when she stepped on them.
Ivy giggled a soft, sleepy giggle as she floated across the marshmallow moat and through the rainbow drawbridge. Inside, the castle was even more wonderful. The walls were painted with pictures of smiling flowers and friendly, fluffy clouds. Tiny, glow-worm lanterns hung from the ceilings, casting a warm, golden light that made everything feel safe and cozy.
First, Ivy visited the 'Whispering Room'. In this room, the air was filled with soft, comforting whispers. It sounded like the wind singing a lullaby, or tiny fairies humming a sleepy tune. Ivy lay down on a big, soft cushion shaped like a crescent moon, and the whispers made her feel very, very calm.
Next, she floated to the 'Sparkle Garden'. This garden didn't have regular flowers. It had flowers that glittered like tiny stars, and leaves that shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow. Little, sleepy butterflies with wings like velvet fluttered slowly from blossom to blossom, sipping sweet, sugary dew. Ivy watched them, her own eyelids feeling a little heavy, like the butterflies' wings after a long day.
Finally, Ivy reached her very own special bedroom in the castle. It had a bed made of the softest clouds, covered with a blanket woven from starlight. She climbed into her cloud bed, snuggling deep into the soft, warm starlight blanket. The glow-worm lanterns in her room dimmed, becoming just tiny, sleepy flickers.
Outside her window, the moon was a friendly, smiling face, watching over her. The marshmallow moat looked peaceful, and the rainbow drawbridge faded into soft pastel colors. Ivy yawned a big, quiet yawn. The Whispering Room's lullaby drifted gently through her window, and the sparkle flowers seemed to nod their heads, saying goodnight.
Ivy closed her eyes, feeling the soft cloud beneath her and the warm starlight all around. She imagined herself floating gently, safely, in her beautiful, shimmering castle, until she drifted off to sleep, dreaming sweet dreams of moonlight and rainbows.
