A story for: Leo, Age 4
Created October 09, 2026
Once upon a time, high above the soft green hills, lived a little boy named Leo. Leo didn't live in just any house; he lived in a magnificent castle made of the fluffiest, whitest clouds. Every evening, as the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky with colors of orange and pink, Leo would get ready for bed in his special cloud castle.
Tonight, Leo snuggled into his bed, which was made of the softest, downiest cloud, like a giant marshmallow. He peeked out his window, watching the last of the sunbeams dance across his room. His castle had turrets that touched the very tops of the stars, and windows that looked out over a peaceful world.
“Goodnight, little stars,” Leo whispered, as the first tiny twinkles appeared in the darkening sky. He loved to imagine what the stars were doing. Maybe they were playing hide-and-seek, or perhaps they were singing sleepy lullabies to the moon.
His favorite part of living in the cloud castle was the gentle swaying. It felt like being rocked in a big, soft cradle. As the wind whispered soft secrets through his window, the castle would drift slowly, like a big, quiet boat on an ocean of air.
Leo closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the very quiet sounds of the night. He could hear the soft whoosh of the air around his castle and the gentle hum of the sleepy world below. He imagined fluffy sheep, made of clouds just like his castle, jumping over a very low, soft fence.
One… two… three… he counted, as each cloud-sheep floated by, light as a feather. He felt his eyelids growing heavier, like two little cloud-pillows resting on his eyes. His body felt warm and cozy under his blanket, which felt like a big, soft hug.
The cloud castle continued its gentle sway, rocking Leo deeper and deeper into a peaceful sleep. He dreamed of flying on the back of a friendly cloud, soaring through the starlit sky, waving to the moon and all the sleepy stars. His breathing became slow and even, a tiny, peaceful sigh. Soon, Leo was completely asleep, safe and sound in his wonderful, drifting cloud castle, waiting for the gentle morning sun to wake him again.
