A story for: Noah, Age 3
Created June 30, 2026
Once upon a time, high above the puffy white clouds, lived a little dragon named Noah. Noah wasn't like other dragons. He didn't breathe big, fiery flames. Oh no, Noah breathed soft, shimmery, silver mist, just like the gentle moonlight.
Every evening, as the sky turned pink and then purple, Noah would watch for his very best friend, the Moon. The Moon was big and round and glowed with a warm, friendly light. But sometimes, the Moon felt a little bit sleepy, just like you do after a long day of playing.
One night, Noah saw the Moon. Its light was a tiny bit dim, and it looked a little droopy. "Oh dear," whispered Noah, his voice as soft as a breeze. "The Moon looks very, very sleepy tonight."
Noah knew just what to do. He flapped his soft, leathery wings. Swish, swish, swish, they went, making a gentle, comforting sound. He flew up, up, up, past the twinkling stars, until he was right beside the big, sleepy Moon.
"Hello, dear Moon," Noah murmured. "Are you feeling tired tonight?"
The Moon didn't speak with words, but its light flickered a little, like a gentle nod. Yes, it was very, very tired.
"Don't you worry," Noah said, nuzzling gently against the Moon's cool, smooth surface. He took a deep, deep breath, and then, from his little dragon nose, he puffed out his special silver mist. The mist floated all around the Moon, soft and shimmering, like a sparkly, cozy blanket.
The Moon sighed a long, slow sigh. The silver mist felt so warm and soft, like a lullaby. Noah started to hum a quiet, sleepy tune, a tune that only dragons and moons could hear. It was a tune about quiet clouds and soft dreams and sleepy stars.
As Noah hummed, the Moon's light grew softer and softer, until it was just a gentle, sleepy glow. The silver mist wrapped around it, making it feel safe and loved. Soon, the big, round Moon was fast asleep, dreaming sweet moon dreams.
Noah smiled. He loved helping his friend the Moon fall asleep. Now, it was his turn. He flew back down, past the sleepy stars, and gently landed on his own soft cloud bed. The sky was dark and quiet, and the Moon's sleepy glow filled his cozy cloud home.
Noah snuggled into his cloud, feeling very warm and sleepy too. He closed his eyes, and with the soft, gentle thought of his friend the Moon sleeping peacefully, Noah drifted off to dreamland. Goodnight, Noah. Goodnight, Moon.
