A story for: Sage, Age 3
Created August 23, 2026
Once upon a time, in a cozy little room filled with soft moonlight, lived a sweet girl named Sage. Sage loved dinosaurs more than anything! Big dinosaurs, little dinosaurs, speedy dinosaurs, and gentle giant dinosaurs – she loved them all.
Tonight, Sage was snuggled deep in her warm bed, holding her favorite sleepy-green dinosaur, Rexy. Rexy had soft scales and a very friendly smile. "Goodnight, Rexy," Sage whispered, giving him a little pat on his head.
As Sage closed her eyes, she imagined a special place, a place just for her and her dino friends. It was a beautiful valley, shimmering with all the colors of a rainbow. The grass was soft and green, perfect for tiptoeing through.
First, Sage saw a big, long-necked Brontosaurus. He was eating yummy, leafy greens from the tallest trees. *Munch, munch, munch,* he went, very slowly and very happily. Sage waved to him, and he gave a gentle nod with his long, long neck. He looked so peaceful and full after his yummy dinner.
Next, she saw a mommy Triceratops and her baby. They were playing a quiet game of 'hide-and-seek' behind big, fluffy fern plants. The baby Triceratops made soft, happy squeaks as he peeked out, and his mommy gave him gentle nuzzles with her big, strong nose. Sage giggled softly, watching them play so sweetly.
Then, Sage saw a Stegosaurus. He was lying down on a warm, sunny patch of grass, and his big, flat plates on his back looked like sleepy purple and orange flowers. He closed his eyes and let out a tiny, soft yawn. He looked so cozy and ready for a nap.
Sage felt her own eyelids getting heavy. She snuggled deeper into her blankets, feeling as warm and safe as the baby Triceratops with its mommy. The air in her imaginary valley smelled like sweet flowers and fresh rain, and it was so quiet, only the sound of a gentle, sleepy breeze rustling through the leaves.
She imagined Rexy, her sleepy-green dinosaur, was right there beside her in the valley, curled up tight. All the dinosaurs were peaceful and happy, getting ready for their own long, quiet sleep. Sage felt her breathing slow down, soft and steady, like the gentle sway of the Brontosaurus's tail.
With a final, tiny sigh, Sage closed her eyes for real. The happy, sleepy dinosaur dream wrapped around her, warm and comforting. She was safe, she was loved, and she was very, very sleepy. Goodnight, little Sage. Sweet dreams of your dino friends.
