Finn's Cozy Cloud Room

A story for: Finn, Age 5

Created July 28, 2026

Once upon a time, in a house filled with soft light and happy sounds, lived a little boy named Finn. Finn loved his bedroom more than anything. It wasn't just a room; it was his very own cozy cloud.

Tonight, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Finn was getting ready for bed. He brushed his teeth, splashed some water on his face, and then, with a hop and a skip, he padded into his special cloud room.

His lamp, shaped like a friendly moon, cast a warm, gentle glow across his carpet. Finn’s bed, with its fluffy blue duvet and softest pillow, looked like a giant, huggable marshmallow. He snuggled under the covers, pulling the duvet right up to his chin.

He looked around his room. His stuffed bear, Barnaby, sat patiently on his pillow, ready for stories. His toy car, Zoom, was parked neatly on his bedside table, taking a rest after a day of zooming adventures. Even his books on the shelf seemed to be sleeping, their colorful covers closed tight.

Finn closed his eyes for a moment, imagining his room floating gently on a big, white cloud. He could almost feel the soft, puffy cloud holding him safe and sound. He took a deep breath, a slow, gentle breath, and then let it out even slower. In… and out. Like a little wave on a calm ocean.

He thought about all the wonderful things in his day. Playing with his building blocks and making a tall, tall tower. Sharing giggles with his mommy and daddy. And now, being cozy and warm in his very own cloud room.

The moon lamp cast longer shadows on the wall, making his bookshelf look like a friendly giant. The air in his room felt soft, like a whisper. Finn yawned a big, sleepy yawn, stretching his arms a little under the covers.

His eyelids felt heavy, like tiny curtains slowly closing. He squeezed Barnaby the bear a little tighter. The gentle quiet of his room wrapped around him like a warm blanket. He listened to the soft tick-tock of the clock in the hallway, a soothing lullaby.

Finn took another slow, deep breath. His body felt peaceful, heavy, and warm. He was safe in his cloud room. The moon lamp seemed to wink at him, saying goodnight. And as the last thought drifted away, Finn's breathing became even and soft, and he drifted off into a calm, happy sleep.
