The moonbeams stretched long and silver across Lily’s bedroom floor. A soft, secret whisper tickled her ear. Lily opened her eyes, not quite awake, not quite asleep. She found herself floating gently, not in her cozy bed, but on something wonderfully soft. It was a rainbow! Its colors hummed with quiet magic. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet swirled softly beneath her.

Lily sat up slowly. The air smelled sweet, like fresh rain and tiny, happy flowers. She carefully put one foot down. The rainbow felt like walking on a cloud made of velvet. It was warm and soft beneath her toes. Lily decided to explore. This was a gentle adventure just for her. She took a small, quiet step.

She wandered along the shimmering arch. Each color glowed with its own special light. A tiny, sparkling dewdrop sat on a violet stripe. It caught the starlight, twinkling like a mini-diamond. Lily leaned closer, her eyes wide with wonder. The dewdrop held a tiny reflection of the whole world. She smiled, a soft, sleepy smile.

Further on, where green met blue, fluffy cloud puffs rested. They looked like sleepy sheep, all soft and round. Lily reached out a hand. The cloud felt like spun sugar, so light and airy. She heard a faint, happy hum. It was the rainbow singing a lullaby to the sleeping world below. The sound was very calming.

Lily walked slowly, her heart full of quiet joy. She saw little stars peeking through the colors. They winked down at her kindly. She found a perfect spot, right where the orange flowed into yellow. It was extra warm there. She lay down on the soft, glowing colors. The rainbow cradled her gently.

The colors pulsed with a soft, sleepy rhythm. She felt a peaceful calm spread through her. The gentle hum of the rainbow grew softer. Lily closed her eyes for a moment. She imagined floating down, down, down. The beautiful colors wrapped around her like a warm blanket. She drifted slowly, like a feather on a breeze.

Then, she felt the familiar softness of her own bed. The rainbow adventure had brought her home. Lily snuggled deeper into her covers. She could still feel the gentle sway of the rainbow. Its sweet, fresh smell lingered faintly. Her eyelids grew heavy, heavy, heavy. She knew she was safe and loved. The rainbow whispered goodnight. Lily was soundly asleep.
