A story for: Theo, Age 3
Created September 07, 2026
Tonight, little Theo was ready for an adventure, not with his toy cars or his building blocks, but with his imagination. He snuggled under his soft blanket, holding his fuzzy teddy bear close. Mommy tucked him in, kissed his forehead, and whispered, "Sweet dreams, my little star-gazer."
Theo closed his eyes and, with a little wiggle, he was no longer in his cozy bed. He was in a shiny spaceship, floating high above the Earth! He wasn't scared, not at all. He was Captain Theo, the gentlest astronaut in the whole wide galaxy.
His mission tonight was very special. He had to visit a wobbly little planet named Wobble-doo. Wobble-doo wasn't feeling very calm. It spun too fast, and its little moon, Sparkle-boo, was getting dizzy from all the spinning. Theo knew just what to do.
He steered his spaceship with a soft hum, past twinkling stars and sleepy comets, until he saw Wobble-doo. It was a beautiful planet, green and blue, but it was indeed wobbling! Sparkle-boo was circling it so fast, it looked like a tiny blurry light.
Captain Theo put on his special calming helmet. It wasn't for breathing; it was for sending gentle thoughts. He aimed his helmet at Wobble-doo and thought very, very softly, 'Slow down, little friend. Rest and be calm.'
He imagined a soft, fluffy cloud wrapping around Wobble-doo, gently slowing its spin. He pictured the cloud whispering lullabies to the planet, just like Mommy sang to him. Slowly, ever so slowly, Wobble-doo began to steady itself. Its wobbles became smaller and smaller, like a top that was just about to fall asleep.
Sparkle-boo, the little moon, sighed a happy, quiet sigh. It started to orbit Wobble-doo in a much smoother, slower dance. Everything was peaceful again.
Captain Theo smiled. His mission was complete! He knew Wobble-doo and Sparkle-boo would have a very calm and sleepy night. He looked out of his spaceship window at the quiet stars, feeling very peaceful himself.
He steered his spaceship back towards his own room, a soft, warm feeling spreading through him. He landed gently, right back in his bed, with his fuzzy teddy bear beside him. The stars outside his window seemed to twinkle a goodnight lullaby.
Theo yawned a big, sleepy yawn. The gentle hum of his spaceship faded into the quiet of his room. He felt as calm and steady as Wobble-doo now was. His eyelids felt heavy, and his breathing became soft and even. He was falling asleep, just like a little planet, peaceful and still, ready for sweet dreams.
