A story for: Finn, Age 3
Created October 02, 2026
Once upon a time, in a cozy little house tucked under a big, soft sky, lived a brave little boy named Finn. Finn loved to explore! He explored his toy box, he explored the garden with its buzzing bees, and he even explored the yummy blueberries on his plate.
Tonight, as the sun began to dip below the hills, painting the sky in sleepy shades of orange and pink, Finn was getting ready for bed. His mom helped him put on his softest pajamas, the ones with the little blue stars.
“Time for stories, my brave boy,” his mom whispered, as Finn snuggled into his bed. Finn hugged his favorite fluffy lion, Leo, tight. Leo was a very brave lion, just like Finn.
His mom began to read a story about a tiny, curious bird who learned to fly. Finn listened to the gentle words, and his eyelids started to feel a little heavy. The moon peeked through his window, a friendly, silver circle in the darkening sky. Tiny, twinkling stars began to pop out, one by one, like little sleepy diamonds.
Finn imagined he was a little star, shining brightly in the vast, quiet sky. He wasn’t afraid of the dark, because he knew the moon and stars were always there, watching over him. And his mom and dad were just in the next room, like two big, warm stars, always close by.
He thought about all the brave things he did today. He built a tall tower with his blocks, even when it wobbled a little. He shared his favorite toy car with his friend. And he ate all his peas, which was super brave!
Finn took a deep breath, and let it out slowly, like a little cloud floating away. He felt so safe and so loved. His brave heart was calm and peaceful. The soft glow of his nightlight made friendly shadows dance on the wall.
He closed his eyes. The world outside his window was quiet, and the only sounds were the soft whoosh of the wind and his own gentle breathing. Finn felt himself sinking deeper and deeper into his warm bed. He imagined floating on a soft cloud, drifting slowly through the starry sky, with Leo snuggled beside him.
He was so brave, so loved, and so very, very sleepy. And as the last story words faded, Finn drifted off into a peaceful, dream-filled sleep, a little brave star shining brightly in his own sweet dreams.
