A story for: Arlo, Age 3
Created November 05, 2026
Once upon a time, nestled high in the soft, fluffy clouds, there lived a little boy named Arlo. Arlo lived in the most wonderful castle you could ever imagine. It wasn't a castle with big, pointy towers, but a cozy castle made of soft, pastel dreams and warm, sleepy sighs.
Every evening, as the sun began to paint the sky with gentle oranges and purples, Arlo would begin his special bedtime routine. First, he would visit the Rainbow Room. In this room, the walls were made of shimmering light, and tiny, twinkling stars floated around like friendly fireflies. Arlo would giggle softly as he tried to catch a little star, but they were too quick and just winked at him before floating away.
Next, Arlo would tiptoe to the Cloud Kitchen. It wasn't a kitchen for cooking food, but a place where sweet, fluffy clouds were made. Arlo would pick his favorite cloud – sometimes a puffy white one, sometimes a soft pink one – and give it a gentle hug. The cloud felt like a warm, soft blanket, just waiting to wrap him up for sleep.
Then, it was time for the Quiet Garden. This garden was filled with sleepy flowers that hummed a very quiet, gentle tune. The Moonbeam Butterflies, with their shimmery wings, would dance slowly, casting soft, calming shadows. Arlo loved to watch them, feeling his own eyelids start to feel a little heavy, just like the sleepy flowers.
Finally, Arlo would make his way to his very own bedroom. His bed was like a big, soft marshmallow, and his pillow felt like the gentlest cloud from the Cloud Kitchen. He would snuggle deep into his blankets, pulling them right up to his chin. The window in his room looked out onto the night sky, where the Big Friendly Moon was just peeking over the horizon, casting a soft, silvery glow.
Arlo would close his eyes, listening to the very, very quiet hum of the sleepy flowers from the Quiet Garden, and feeling the soft, comforting hug of his cloud-blanket. He imagined the tiny, twinkling stars from the Rainbow Room dancing above his head, and the Moonbeam Butterflies gently fanning his dreams. Soon, Arlo's breathing became slow and steady, and a peaceful little smile appeared on his face. He was fast asleep, dreaming sweet dreams in his cozy, sleepy castle, ready for a brand new day of adventures when the sun woke him up again.
