A story for: Sage, Age 4
Created October 17, 2026
Once upon a time, nestled in a land of soft, green hills and sleepy clouds, lived a little girl named Sage. Sage had the brightest eyes, like two shiny buttons, and a giggle like tiny bells.
Every night, just as the sun dipped its sleepy head behind the mountains, Sage would snuggle into her bed. But tonight was special! Tonight, Sage was going on an adventure to the Sparkle Castle.
In her imagination, the Sparkle Castle wasn't far away. It was just past the whispering willow tree and over the hum-humming stream. The castle wasn't made of cold, hard stones. Oh no! It was built from the softest, fluffiest clouds, all sparkly with stardust that only came out at night.
Sage imagined herself floating gently towards the castle. The air felt like a warm, soft blanket. As she got closer, she could see the castle's towers, tall and round, reaching up to touch the moon. Each tower had a little flag made of moonlight, waving ever so slowly.
The drawbridge wasn't made of rough wood. Instead, it was a rainbow bridge, shimmering with all the colors you can imagine. As Sage stepped onto it, it felt bouncy and soft, like walking on a big, happy marshmallow.
Inside the Sparkle Castle, everything was quiet and calm. The walls glowed with a gentle, sleepy light. There were no loud noises, just the softest whispers of the wind singing a lullaby through the open windows. Little fireflies, like tiny, winking stars, floated in the air, making pretty patterns as they danced a slow, sleepy dance.
Sage tiptoed through the great hall. She saw big, comfy chairs made of puffy clouds, perfect for snuggling. She imagined herself sitting in one, sipping a warm cup of moon milk, which tasted like sweet dreams and fluffy marshmallows.
She peeked into the royal bedroom. It was filled with the softest blankets, made from woven starlight, and a big, cozy bed that looked like a giant cloud. The pillows were plump and soft, smelling faintly of lavender and sleepytime stories.
Sage felt a yawn tickle her nose. The Sparkle Castle was so peaceful and warm. She imagined herself climbing into that big, soft bed, pulling the starlight blankets up to her chin. The little fireflies dimmed their lights, and the wind outside hummed an even softer lullaby.
Her eyelids felt heavy, like tiny curtains slowly closing. The Sparkle Castle was a perfect place for sleep. And as Sage snuggled deeper into her own bed, dreaming of soft clouds and gentle starlight, she drifted off into a deep, peaceful sleep, just like she was in the Sparkle Castle herself.
