A story for: Cleo, Age 3
Created October 22, 2026
Once upon a time, in a cozy little burrow nestled under a big, soft oak tree, lived a brave little bunny named Cleo.
Cleo had the fluffiest white tail and the wiggliest pink nose. Every night, when the moon peeked out and the stars began to twinkle, Cleo would get ready for her special job.
Cleo wasn't just any bunny; she was the keeper of the Dream Lantern. This lantern wasn't made of ordinary glass. Oh no, it was crafted from a shimmery moonbeam and held the softest, warmest light you could ever imagine.
Tonight, Cleo carefully hopped to her bedside table, where the Dream Lantern glowed softly. It pulsed with gentle colors: a sleepy blue, a calm green, and a happy yellow. Each color helped little animals everywhere have the best dreams.
Cleo gently picked up the lantern. It felt warm and comforting in her paws. "Time to light the dreams," she whispered, her voice as soft as a breeze through the grass.
First, she thought of little squirrels snuggled in their nests, dreaming of bouncy acorns and sunny days. The lantern glowed a soft, happy yellow.
Then, Cleo thought of tiny birds in their nests, dreaming of singing sweet songs and flying high in the sky. The lantern pulsed with a calm, gentle green.
Finally, she thought of all the sleepy little bunnies, like her friends Pip and Squeak, dreaming of soft dandelions and playful games. The lantern shone a sleepy, peaceful blue.
Cleo made sure the light from her Dream Lantern reached every corner of the forest, touching each little creature with its comforting glow. She knew that as long as her lantern was lit, everyone would have sweet, happy dreams.
After her important work was done, Cleo yawned a tiny bunny yawn. The Dream Lantern, its job also done for the night, now cast a gentle, sleepy light all around her own burrow.
Cleo snuggled into her soft bed, pulling her warm blanket up to her chin. The light from the Dream Lantern made the shadows dance softly on the walls, like sleepy fairies.
Her eyelids felt heavy, so very heavy. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of the lantern and the quiet of the night. She drifted off, knowing that her own dreams would be just as soft and happy as the ones she helped create for everyone else.
Goodnight, Cleo. Sweet dreams, little bunny.
