A story for: Luna, Age 3
Created August 06, 2026
Once upon a time, in a cozy little room, lived a sweet girl named Luna. When the sun began to whisper goodnight to the sky, Luna knew it was time for her own special bedtime adventure. Tonight, her adventure was all about fluffy, dreamy clouds.
Luna snuggled into her soft bed. Her mommy tucked her in, warm and tight, like a little butterfly in its cocoon. “Close your eyes, my little star,” Mommy whispered, “and let’s go on a cloud journey.”
Luna closed her eyes, and right away, she saw a big, white, fluffy cloud, just like a giant cotton ball. This cloud was very gentle, and it waited for Luna to hop on. So, in her imagination, Luna climbed aboard. The cloud was so soft, like lying on a bed of marshmallows.
Slowly, slowly, the cloud began to float up, up, up! Luna giggled softly. They drifted past the tall trees, whose leaves looked like tiny green dots from high above. Then, they floated past the moon, which winked at Luna like an old friend.
As they traveled, Luna saw other clouds. Some were shaped like fluffy bunnies hopping across the sky. Some looked like sleepy sheep, grazing on invisible grass. One big cloud looked just like a friendly bear, waving a paw at Luna as she floated by.
Luna stretched out her little hands and imagined touching the soft cloud. It felt like cool, fresh air, mixed with tiny sparkles. She could hear the quietest whisper of the wind, singing a gentle lullaby just for her.
Her cloud journey took her over sleepy towns, where all the houses had tiny lights twinkling like fallen stars. It took her over calm, blue oceans, where the waves made soft shushing sounds. Everything below looked peaceful and still.
Luna felt so safe and cozy on her cloud. She wasn't scared at all. She felt warm and loved, like a gentle hug. The soft motion of the cloud, swaying ever so slightly, made her eyelids feel heavy.
The cloud began to float lower now, very gently, very slowly. It brought her back towards her cozy room. As it neared her window, Luna snuggled deeper into its softness. The friendly bear cloud gave one last sleepy wave. The moon smiled its goodnight smile.
Luna’s cloud brought her right back to her bed. She felt the softness of her pillow beneath her head, and the warmth of her blanket around her. She was still on her cloud, even though her eyes were closed and she was in her own bed.
The cloud began to melt away, leaving behind a feeling of peace and quiet. Luna took a deep, sleepy breath. Her adventure had been wonderful, and now it was time for real sleep. She was so sleepy, so comfortable. Luna drifted off into a sweet, peaceful sleep, dreaming of fluffy clouds and quiet adventures.
