A story for: Hunter, Age 4
Created January 30, 2026
Hunter snuggled deep in his soft, warm bed. The blankets felt so cozy all around him. Little Hunter yawned a big, sleepy yawn. It was time for a quiet story. The moon peeked in his window, a soft, friendly light. Hunter closed his eyes. He began to dream a happy dream.
In his dream, Hunter was not in his bed. He was in a big, green valley. The grass felt soft under his feet. The air smelled sweet and calm. Then, Hunter saw something amazing! A giant, friendly dinosaur was munching on leaves. This dinosaur was very, very big. He had a long, long neck. His skin was a happy green color. Hunter felt safe with him.
"Hello," whispered Hunter. The big dinosaur looked down with kind, gentle eyes. He made a soft rumble sound. Hunter knew this dinosaur was a friend. Then, a little blue dinosaur came waddling by. It was a baby Triceratops! It had little horns and a sweet, round face. Its skin was a pretty blue, like the sky. Hunter smiled at the little dinosaur.
The big green dinosaur gave a soft "Moooo." He pointed his long nose. Hunter looked where he pointed. There, in the distance, was a special place. It was a sparkling waterfall! But this waterfall was not just water. It had many, many colors. Red water splashed. Orange water flowed. Yellow water glistened. Green water tumbled. Blue water shimmered. Purple water swirled. All the colors of the rainbow danced together!
Hunter watched the rainbow waterfall. The little blue dinosaur splashed its tiny feet in a puddle. It giggled a soft dinosaur giggle. The big green dinosaur closed his eyes a little bit. He looked very happy. Hunter felt happy too. He felt warm and safe with his new dinosaur friends. The rainbow colors made everything feel magic.
The sun started to set in the dream sky. The colors of the waterfall became softer. The red turned to a gentle pink. The blue turned to a sleepy lavender. The dinosaurs started to yawn. The big green dinosaur lay down slowly. The little blue dinosaur snuggled close to him. They were ready for sleep.
Hunter felt sleepy now too. His eyes felt heavy. He looked at the gentle dinosaurs. They were sleeping softly. Hunter knew it was time to go back to his own cozy bed. He gave a little yawn. The rainbow colors faded softly. The quiet valley felt very peaceful. Hunter closed his dream eyes.
He opened his real eyes. Hunter was back in his own bed. His blankets felt so warm. His favorite bunny toy was right beside him. The moon was still shining a soft light. Hunter hugged his bunny tight. He thought of the sleepy dinosaurs and the rainbow waterfall. He felt so cozy and loved. Hunter drifted off to a very deep, very happy sleep. Sweet dreams, little Hunter.
The End.
