A story for: Remy, Age 5
Created June 27, 2026
Far, far away, in the deepest, bluest part of the ocean, lived a kind and gentle whale named Remy. Remy was very special, not just because he was big and graceful, but because he had the most beautiful singing voice in the whole wide sea.
Every evening, as the sun began to dip below the water's surface, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Remy knew it was his time to shine. Not with bright lights, but with soft, humming melodies. He was the ocean's lullaby singer.
First, he would gently swim past the little clownfish, who were busy playing hide-and-seek in the anemones. He'd hum a soft, slow tune, and they would giggle and then yawn, tucking themselves into their flowery beds. "Goodnight, little fishies," Remy would whisper with a gentle swish of his tail.
Next, he'd glide over to where the sleepy sea turtles were floating. Their day had been full of swimming and nibbling on tasty seaweed. Remy would sing a tune that was as slow and steady as their gentle flippers. The turtles would close their wise, old eyes, feeling safe and calm, ready for dreams of warm ocean currents.
Then, Remy would pass by the coral reefs, where tiny, sparkling fish of every color lived. They were always busy, flitting about, but when Remy's song reached them, they would slowly, slowly settle into their colorful coral nooks. His song was like a warm, soft blanket, tucking them in for the night.
As the stars began to twinkle far, far above the water, Remy would find a quiet, deep part of the ocean. He'd float there, letting his biggest, most soothing song fill the water. It was a song of peace, of quiet waves, and of safe, happy dreams. He sang about the moon casting its silvery glow, and about the calm, deep sleep that awaited all the creatures of the sea.
The busy crabs would stop their scuttling, the playful dolphins would slow their jumps, and even the biggest, strongest sharks would feel a wave of calm wash over them. The entire ocean would hum along with Remy, a great, gentle symphony of slumber.
After he had sung every creature to sleep, from the tiniest plankton to the grandest squid, Remy would feel a sweet tiredness in his own big body. He would find a cozy, soft spot near a gentle underwater current. He'd let out one last, soft hum, a little personal lullaby just for himself. His eyelids would feel heavy, his large body would relax, and with a peaceful sigh, Remy, the gentle whale, would drift off to sleep, dreaming of the beautiful, sleeping ocean he loved so much. The whole ocean was quiet now, waiting for a new day, wrapped in Remy's sleepy song.
