A story for: Nora, Age 5
Created August 02, 2026
Once upon a time, high above the world where the stars twinkled like tiny diamonds, lived a little astronaut named Nora. Nora had a special spaceship, not big and noisy, but small and cozy, like a soft, fluffy cloud. Tonight, Nora felt extra sleepy, and her mission was to find the calmest, dreamiest places in the whole wide galaxy.
First, Nora steered her little spaceship towards the Planet of Soft Moonlight. As she floated closer, the planet glowed with a gentle, silvery light, just like the moon on a quiet night. There were no sharp mountains or loud winds here, only rolling hills made of shimmering mist. Nora carefully landed her spaceship on a patch of cloud-like ground. She peeked out her window and saw tiny, luminous flowers that hummed a lullaby so soft, it tickled her ears like a whisper. Nora yawned a big, happy yawn.
“This is a very sleepy planet,” Nora mumbled, feeling her eyelids grow heavy. But she wanted to visit one more place before drifting off to dreamland.
Next, Nora set her course for the Planet of Whispering Winds. This planet was a beautiful shade of lavender and seemed to be made entirely of fluffy, cotton-candy clouds. As her spaceship drifted closer, Nora heard the softest sound – the wind, not rushing or roaring, but gently sighing through invisible silk ribbons. It sounded like the world was breathing a soft, sleepy breath. Nora’s spaceship settled down onto a pillow-soft cloud, and she imagined floating on the gentlest breeze.
On the Planet of Whispering Winds, there were no bright lights, just a soft, twilight glow that made everything feel peaceful and still. Nora snuggled deeper into her spaceship’s seat. She closed her eyes for a moment, listening to the gentle whispers of the wind. It sounded like a sweet secret, telling her it was okay to be very, very sleepy.
Nora imagined the soft moonlight and the whispering winds wrapping around her like a warm, comforting blanket. Her eyelids felt too heavy to keep open. Her little spaceship was so cozy, and the planets she visited were so calm. She let out a final, soft sigh, just like the wind on the lavender planet. With a peaceful smile on her face, little astronaut Nora drifted off to sleep, ready for wonderful dreams among the stars.
