Snug in his bed, Hunter closed his eyes. His blanket felt soft and warm. He heard a little sound, *toot-toot!* Was that a train? Yes! A magic train was waiting just for him.

The train glowed a soft, sleepy blue. Little stars twinkled on its side. Hunter saw a friendly conductor waving. The conductor wore a tall, shiny hat. "All aboard, Hunter!" he called with a smile.

Hunter hopped onto the cozy train car. He found a soft seat by the window. The train started to move. *Chug-a-chug, chug-a-chug!* went the wheels. *Choo choo!* called the big train.

Up, up, up the train climbed! Hunter saw big green mountains all around. The sun was going down, painting the sky pink and orange. So pretty! He saw sleepy deer resting in the grass. He waved to a little owl just waking up. *Hoo-hoo!* sang the owl.

The train rolled into a quiet, soft forest. Tall trees waved their branches. *Chug-a-chug, chug-a-chug!* The air smelled fresh and cool.

Suddenly, the train slowed down. *Squeak, squeak, chug-a-slow.* What was that? A tiny bear cub was curled up on the tracks, fast asleep! "Oh dear," said the conductor. "Hunter, can you help our sleepy friend?"

Hunter softly called, "Wake up, little bear!" The bear cub stretched and yawned a big, slow yawn. He wiggled his nose and slowly moved off the tracks. "Thank you, Hunter!" said the conductor. "You were so gentle."

The train went *chug-a-chug, choo choo!* again. Next, they came to a long, dark tunnel. "Wooosh!" It was dark inside! But wait! Little glowing stars appeared all over the train's ceiling. Hunter felt safe and brave. He knew the train would lead him through. Soon, they were out again, into the soft moonlight.

The magic train slowed down. It was time for Hunter to go to his dream station. The conductor smiled at Hunter. "You were the best train helper, Hunter!" He gave Hunter a warm, soft hug.

Hunter stepped off the train. His own soft bed was right there, waiting. He gave a big, sleepy yawn. The train gave one last, very soft *choo choo* sound. The conductor waved goodnight.
