A story for: Leo, Age 3
Created October 29, 2026
Once upon a time, high on a fluffy cloud that looked like a big, soft marshmallow, lived a little boy named Leo. Leo lived in a beautiful, sparkly castle made of dreams. His castle walls were painted with all the colors of the rainbow, soft purples, sleepy blues, and gentle pinks.
Every night, just as the sun dipped down and painted the sky in oranges and yellows, Leo would get ready for his special castle routine. First, he’d give a goodnight hug to his best friend, a fluffy cloud puppy named Puffy. Puffy would wag his tail, which made tiny, soft rain sprinkles that smelled like lavender.
Then, Leo would put on his warmest, coziest pajamas. They were blue, just like the evening sky, and had little silver stars sewn all over them that twinkled softly in the dim light. He would tiptoe through his castle, past rooms filled with giggling moonbeams and sleepy starlight.
His favorite part was going to the castle’s highest tower. From there, he could see all the sleepy world below. He’d watch as the little lights in houses twinkled on, one by one, like tiny sleepy eyes blinking goodnight. The trees outside his window whispered soft lullabies, and the wind hummed a gentle tune.
Tonight, as Leo looked out, he saw the biggest, brightest moon he had ever seen. It was round and glowing, like a giant pearl hanging in the dark velvet sky. The moon seemed to smile at Leo, sending down a silvery path right to his window.
Leo snuggled into his big, soft bed. It was so comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. He pulled his blanket up to his chin. His blanket felt like a warm hug, woven with threads of quiet wishes and sweet dreams. Puffy, the cloud puppy, curled up at the foot of his bed, a soft, warm puffball.
He closed his eyes and listened to the gentle sounds of his castle. He could hear the soft whisper of the starlight, the quiet hum of the night wind, and the gentle patter of Puffy’s sleepy breathing. He thought about the rainbow walls of his castle, the twinkling stars on his pajamas, and the friendly, smiling moon.
Leo yawned a big, sleepy yawn. His eyelids felt heavy, heavy like little pebbles resting on soft pillows. He felt so safe, so warm, so loved in his dream castle. Slowly, softly, Leo drifted off to sleep, ready for another day of gentle adventures in his magical castle in the clouds. Sweet dreams, little Leo.
