A story for: Noah, Age 3
Created June 26, 2026
Once upon a time, far, far away, in a cozy little bedroom, lived a special boy named Noah. Noah loved bedtime because that's when the stars began to peek through his window, twinkling like tiny diamonds.
Tonight, as his mommy tucked him into his soft bed, Noah looked up at the ceiling. He saw little glow-in-the-dark stars stuck there, shining softly. "Mommy," he whispered, "Can we go to space tonight?"
Mommy smiled. "Of course, my little astronaut," she said, and kissed his forehead. "Close your eyes, and let's begin our journey."
Noah squeezed his eyes shut, and in his mind, his bed slowly, gently, began to float. Up, up, up it went, past the tall trees and the sleepy houses. The air felt like a soft, warm blanket all around him.
Soon, Noah was floating so high that the moon looked like a giant, friendly cheese puff in the sky. He waved to the man in the moon, who winked back with a gentle, sleepy eye. Around them, the stars sparkled even brighter, like a million tiny fairy lights.
Noah floated past big, puffy clouds that looked like fluffy sheep made of cotton candy. He saw a shooting star zoom by, leaving a trail of glittery dust. It was like a speedy, shiny train in the sky.
Then, he saw the planets! First, a big red one that looked like a giant, soft bouncy ball – that was Mars. Then a beautiful blue and green one, with swirly white clouds – that was Earth, his home, looking so peaceful and quiet from far away.
He even saw Jupiter, with its swirly orange and white stripes, looking like a giant marble. Everything was so calm and quiet in space. There were no loud noises, just the soft hum of the universe.
Noah stretched out his hand, and a tiny, shy star came close, twinkling just for him. He imagined it tickling his fingers with its soft, warm light. He felt so happy and safe, floating among the stars.
As Noah drifted, the stars began to dance slowly, like tiny ballerinas in the night sky. Their gentle glow made him feel sleepy and warm. His bed, his cozy spaceship, rocked him gently back and forth, back and forth.
He watched the moon slowly move across the sky, getting ready for the sun to come up. The stars seemed to whisper, "Sleep tight, Noah. Sleep tight, little astronaut."
Noah snuggled deeper into his covers, feeling the softness of his pillow. His imaginary journey through space had been wonderful, full of quiet beauty and gentle lights. He closed his eyes one last time, a tiny smile on his face, dreaming of stars and planets, and softly, peacefully, he drifted off to sleep.
