Once upon a time, in a grand, stone castle tower, lived a brave little boy named David. Every night, David would peek out his tall, arched window, dreaming of amazing adventures far beyond the castle walls. Tonight, something truly magical was waiting for him, right outside his window.

A soft, friendly tap-tap-tap came from the glass pane. David rubbed his sleepy eyes and looked closer. Outside, hovering gently, was a tiny, emerald-green dragon! Its scales sparkled like a hundred tiny jewels, and it had big, curious eyes that blinked kindly. "Hello!" whispered David, his heart thumping with excitement. The baby dragon chirped a happy, soft sound. Its name was Ember, and it seemed to smile.

Ember gently nudged the window open with its nose. "Do you want to fly, David?" Ember seemed to ask with its bright, intelligent eyes. David nodded quickly, his chest full of a brave, joyful feeling. He carefully climbed onto Ember's warm, scaly back. Ember was small, but felt surprisingly strong! "Ready, Ember?" David whispered.

Up, up, up they soared, leaving the grand castle far below. The big, friendly moon shone like a pearl in the dark sky. "Wow!" giggled David, holding onto Ember's neck. They flew straight into a big, fluffy, white cloud. It felt like soft cotton candy all around them! Ember zipped and twirled, making happy little dragon noises, and David held on tight, feeling so brave and free.

"Look, Ember!" David pointed to the twinkling stars, which looked even closer now. Ember let out a happy puff of warm, soft smoke that sparkled like glitter in the moonlight. They were the best of friends, a brave boy and his baby dragon, flying together, high above the sleeping world. David felt so safe and loved with his magical dragon pal.

After their wonderful flight, Ember gently glided back to David's open window. They landed softly, right inside the cozy tower room. David hugged Ember tight. "Thank you, my brave dragon," he whispered. Ember snuggled close, its warm scales comforting against David.

David snuggled into his big bed, with Ember curled up beside him, a tiny, sleepy dragon friend. The magic of their flight through the clouds filled his dreams. Tomorrow, maybe they would fly again. But for now, David closed his eyes, feeling peaceful and brave, ready for a long, sweet sleep. Goodnight, David.
