Wren's Dream Garden

A story for: Wren, Age 6

Created November 07, 2026

The moon, a gentle sliver of pearl, peeked through Wren’s window, casting soft shadows on her cozy room. Wren snuggled deeper into her blankets, her favorite stuffed bunny, Barnaby, tucked right beside her.

Tonight, Wren was extra excited because it was time for her special dream story. She closed her eyes, ready to float away to the magical place where dreams were made.

In her mind, Wren imagined a long, winding path made of softest moonlight. She tiptoed along it, Barnaby held tight, until she reached a sparkling gate. It wasn't a gate made of wood or iron, but of shimmering stardust that twinkled gently. As she pushed it open, a whispery chime greeted her.

Beyond the gate lay the most beautiful garden Wren had ever seen. This was the Dream Garden, where all the good dreams grew. The flowers weren't ordinary flowers; they were made of soft, glowing colors. There were lavender dreams that smelled like sleepy time, and rosy pink dreams that felt like a warm hug. Bluebell dreams chimed with tiny, happy sounds, and golden poppy dreams shimmered with bright, sunny adventures.

Wren saw little dream catchers hanging from the branches of shimmering willow trees, each one holding a tiny, perfect dream. Some dreams were like fluffy clouds, perfect for floating. Others were like gentle breezes, perfect for whispering secrets. There were dreams of flying on the back of a friendly bumblebee, dreams of talking to the wisest old owl, and dreams of building the tallest sandcastle on a rainbow beach.

A tiny, silver butterfly with wings like moonlight fluttered down and landed on Wren's nose. It tickled just a little, and Wren giggled softly. The butterfly was a Dream Weaver, and it was showing her a special dream. It was a dream of being wrapped in the softest blanket, listening to the quietest, most comforting song.

Wren reached out her hand, and the butterfly gently unfolded its wings, revealing a tiny, glowing orb. This was her dream for tonight. It was warm and soft, like a sleepy kitten curled up in the sun. She carefully held the dream orb close to her heart. It hummed a quiet, peaceful tune.

As Wren held her dream, the edges of the Dream Garden began to blur, becoming soft and hazy. The glowing flowers seemed to sway, singing a lullaby just for her. Barnaby felt extra cuddly. The moonlight path became a soft cloud, carrying her gently. Wren took a deep breath, feeling so cozy and safe. The dream orb glowed a little brighter, whispering sweet, sleepy thoughts. She snuggled deeper into her bed, the soft hum of her dream filling her ears, until her eyelids grew heavy and closed, carrying her off to her very own Dream Garden.
