Cleo's Cosmic Cuddle

A story for: Cleo, Age 4

Created September 21, 2026

Once upon a time, far, far away, lived a tiny astronaut named Cleo. Cleo had soft, curly hair that peeked out from under her sparkly helmet, and eyes that twinkled like the stars she loved to visit.

Tonight, Cleo was feeling very, very sleepy. Her spaceship, the 'Dream Weaver,' hummed a gentle lullaby as it floated through the inky, dark sky. Cleo yawned a big, wide yawn, like a little kitten stretching after a long nap.

“Time for some sleepy planet adventures,” Cleo whispered to her co-pilot, a friendly, plush star named Twinkle. Twinkle blinked his soft, yellow eye in agreement.

Their first stop was the Lavender Planet. It was a beautiful place, covered in fields of soft, purple flowers that smelled like a warm hug. The air here was so gentle, it felt like a whisper against Cleo's cheek. Little fluffy creatures with big, sleepy eyes floated slowly by, nibbling on lavender petals. Cleo watched them for a while, feeling her own eyes grow heavier. She took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the sweet, calming scent.

Next, the Dream Weaver drifted to the Cloud Pillow Planet. This planet wasn't made of solid ground at all! It was made of giant, bouncy clouds, as soft as the fluffiest blanket. Cleo carefully stepped out of her spaceship, and her feet sank into the cloud-like surface. It felt like walking on marshmallows! She giggled softly as she made tiny footprints in the puffy white ground. Above her, the sky was a beautiful, pale blue, with even softer, smaller clouds drifting by. Everything was so quiet, only the soft sigh of the clouds could be heard.

Cleo lay down on a big, fluffy cloud. It cradled her gently, like a mother holding her baby. She closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the softness all around her. Twinkle snuggled closer, his soft glow making a tiny nightlight.

Finally, the Dream Weaver arrived at the Silken Stream Planet. This planet had rivers and lakes made not of water, but of shimmering, silver silk. The silk flowed slowly, making a quiet, rustling sound, like leaves dancing in a gentle breeze. Tiny, luminescent fish swam through the silken streams, leaving trails of soft, glowing light.

Cleo sat by the edge of a silken stream, watching the light fish swim by. Their glow was so peaceful, like tiny, sleepy fireflies. She dipped her fingers into the cool, smooth silk. It felt so soft and smooth, it made her want to close her eyes and drift away.

Her helmet started to feel a little heavy, and her spacesuit felt extra cozy. Cleo yawned again, a very, very sleepy yawn. She snuggled into her seat in the Dream Weaver, Twinkle tucked under her arm. The hum of the spaceship was now a soft, rocking lullaby. The images of the peaceful planets, the lavender fields, the cloud pillows, and the silken streams, all swirled gently behind her eyelids.

Cleo closed her eyes, feeling safe and warm and loved. Her breathing slowed, becoming soft and even. The little astronaut, after her cosmic cuddle tour, was finally, truly, fast asleep.
