A story for: Finn, Age 4
Created October 15, 2026
Little Finn, with his soft, blue pajamas and a helmet that was just a little too big, was a very special astronaut. Tonight, his mission was to find the sleepiest planets in the whole wide galaxy. He snuggled into his cozy spaceship, which looked a lot like his bed, and pressed a big, sparkly button.
"Zoom!" went his spaceship, not too fast, just a gentle float up, up, up past the moon, which winked at him like a friendly nightlight. Finn waved goodbye to the stars twinkling like tiny diamonds.
His first stop was Planet Pillow. It was a big, fluffy planet, covered in the softest clouds you could ever imagine. Finn gently floated down. The clouds felt like giant cotton balls, warm and squishy. He saw little cloud bunnies hopping softly, leaving tiny, sleepy footprints. Finn giggled quietly, feeling his own eyelids start to feel a little heavy. He snuggled into a cloud, feeling so cozy, but he knew he had more sleepy planets to visit.
Next, Finn’s spaceship drifted to Planet Lullaby. This planet was a beautiful, gentle blue, and it hummed a soft, quiet song. The trees on Planet Lullaby had leaves that whispered "shhh, shhh" in the breeze, and the rivers flowed with shimmering, sleepy water. Finn watched little star-fish slowly sway in the gentle currents. He could feel the soft, humming song all around him, making his toes tingle with sleepiness. He yawned a big, wide yawn, like a little bear ready for a long nap.
His spaceship floated on, very slowly now, towards Planet Dream Dust. This was Finn's favorite. Planet Dream Dust sparkled with tiny, gentle specks of light that floated down like snowflakes, but they weren't cold at all. They were warm and tickly, like little sleepy kisses. When they touched his nose, Finn felt a happy, soft feeling spread through him.
He watched as the dream dust settled all around him, making everything glow with a soft, sleepy light. He could see little dream creatures, like fluffy moths with wings of starlight, fluttering by, carrying tiny, happy dreams. One little moth gently landed on Finn’s helmet, then flew away, leaving behind a tiny sprinkle of peaceful, sleepy dust.
Finn’s head began to nod. The planets had done their job. His spaceship felt extra soft, his pillow helmet felt extra cozy. He snuggled deep into his bed-spaceship, the gentle hum of Planet Lullaby still in his ears, the soft glow of Planet Dream Dust all around him. He closed his eyes, a little smile on his face, ready for his own wonderful, happy dreams. Goodnight, little astronaut Finn.
