A story for: Remy, Age 4
Created October 23, 2026
Once upon a time, nestled in a valley of soft, green hills, stood a beautiful, friendly castle. This wasn't just any castle; it was Remy's castle. Remy was a little boy with bright, curious eyes and a smile that could light up any room. Every night, as the sun dipped below the hills, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Remy would get ready for his castle adventures.
Tonight, Remy was extra sleepy. He had spent the day playing with his toy knights and building tall towers with his blocks. Now, his mommy was tucking him into his big, comfy bed. "Goodnight, my little prince," she whispered, kissing his forehead. Remy snuggled under his warm blanket, which felt as soft as a cloud.
As his eyes grew heavy, Remy imagined his castle. It wasn't made of cold stone, but of warm, glowing bricks that shimmered like a thousand fireflies. The towers reached up to touch the sleepy moon, which looked like a friendly, round face smiling down at him. Inside, the castle was filled with soft, gentle sounds. He could almost hear the quiet rustle of the royal curtains and the soft 'thump-thump' of his own little heart.
Remy imagined walking through the grand hall. Instead of a cold, stone floor, it was covered in a carpet as fluffy as a sheep's wool, making every step feel like a little bounce. He saw friendly, sleepy dragons curled up by the fireplaces, their snores sounding like soft purrs. They weren't scary dragons, oh no! They were gentle giants who loved to tell quiet stories in their dreams.
He peeked into the royal kitchen, where the smell of warm milk and honey cookies lingered in the air. The little castle mice were tidying up, their tiny paws making no sound at all. Everything was peaceful and calm.
Remy then floated up the winding staircase, past windows that showed the twinkling stars. Each star was like a tiny nightlight, guiding him to his special tower room. His bed there was made of the softest feathers, and his pillow felt like a cloud. He snuggled down, feeling safe and loved in his imaginary castle.
The moonbeams danced softly on his castle walls, making gentle patterns. The sleepy dragons purred their lullabies, and the little mice tiptoed quietly. Remy closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of his blanket and the softness of his pillow. He took a deep, slow breath, and then another. His castle was quiet, his dreams were waiting, and Remy drifted off to sleep, a peaceful smile on his face.
