Noah Bunny and the Dream Lantern

A story for: Noah, Age 3

Created October 07, 2026

Once upon a time, nestled in a cozy, green meadow, lived a little bunny named Noah. Noah had the softest, fluffiest white fur and the twitchiest pink nose. When the sun started to say goodnight, painting the sky in sleepy oranges and purples, Noah would snuggle down in his burrow. But sometimes, even in his cozy bed, Noah felt a little bit wiggly, and sleep felt far, far away.

Tonight, as the stars began to twinkle like tiny diamonds, Noah looked out his window. Everything was quiet and peaceful. He saw Mama Bunny turn on the special Dream Lantern. It wasn’t just any lantern; it glowed with a soft, warm light that made everything feel safe and snug. Mama Bunny told Noah that the Dream Lantern helped send gentle, happy dreams to all the little animals in the meadow.

“Tonight, little Noah,” Mama Bunny whispered, “the Dream Lantern will help you find the coziest dream of all.”

Noah watched the lantern’s light dance. It seemed to whisper, 'Come on a gentle adventure before you sleep.' So, very quietly, Noah decided to be extra brave. He hopped out of his burrow, following the soft glow of the Dream Lantern.

The lantern led him past sleepy, drooping bluebells and quiet, shimmering fireflies. Each little light seemed to hum a soft lullaby. Noah hopped past a tall, sleepy sunflower, its big face turned towards the moon, ready for rest. He saw a little sleepy bird, tucked safely in its nest, dreaming of juicy worms.

Then, Noah saw it! The Dream Lantern led him to a special place – a field of soft, fluffy dandelion puffs! They looked like tiny, white clouds waiting for him. Noah gently touched one, and it felt like the softest pillow. The light from the Dream Lantern made the dandelion field glow with a magical, sleepy shimmer.

Noah felt his eyelids getting heavy, heavy, heavy. The soft, warm light of the Dream Lantern wrapped around him like a comforting blanket. He imagined floating on a giant dandelion puff, drifting slowly, slowly, towards the moon. He felt so safe, so warm, so loved.

He thought of all the happy things: crunchy carrots, warm sunshine on his fur, and Mama Bunny’s gentle nuzzles. The Dream Lantern’s light seemed to hum a sweet, sleepy song just for him. Noah yawned a big, wide yawn. His little nose stopped twitching, and his soft fur settled. He closed his eyes, and a happy, peaceful smile spread across his face. He was drifting, drifting, drifting… into the coziest, happiest dream of all.
