A story for: Ivy, Age 3
Created October 17, 2026
Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, lived a sweet girl named Ivy. Ivy had the prettiest bedroom, filled with soft, warm things.
Tonight, as the sun began to whisper goodnight to the sky, Ivy snuggled into her bed. Her bed was like a big, fluffy cloud, with a soft blanket that felt like a gentle hug. She had a special teddy bear named Barnaby, who always slept right beside her. Barnaby had soft, fuzzy ears and a friendly smile.
Ivy looked around her room. First, she looked at her lamp. It had a little shade with tiny stars that twinkled when the light was on. Tonight, it made a soft, warm glow, like a sleepy firefly.
Then, Ivy looked at her window. Outside, the moon was peeking out, round and bright like a silver coin. Little stars began to pop out, one by one, like tiny diamonds sprinkled across a dark blue blanket. They blinked slowly, saying, 'Goodnight, Ivy.'
Next, Ivy looked at her bookshelf. Her favorite books were all lined up, waiting for their next adventure. She remembered all the fun stories she had read with her mommy and daddy. There was the book about the little duck, and the one about the friendly bear, just like Barnaby.
Ivy sighed a happy little sigh. Her room felt so safe and peaceful. She could hear the gentle tick-tock of the clock on her wall, a quiet sound that helped her feel sleepy.
Her mommy came in and gave her a big, warm hug. "Goodnight, my sweet Ivy," her mommy whispered. "Sweet dreams."
Ivy closed her eyes. She imagined her room was a soft, fluffy cloud, floating gently in the night sky. Barnaby was snuggled close, and his soft fur felt warm against her cheek.
The stars outside winked one last time. The moon shone a soft, sleepy light through her window. Ivy’s breaths became slow and steady. She felt so warm, so safe, and so very sleepy. Her little eyelids grew heavier and heavier, until they closed completely. Ivy drifted off to sleep, dreaming happy, sweet dreams in her cozy, peaceful bedroom.
